Totally Tucked!
 
Experiment, embellish, embroider and enhance a multitude of twiddled tucked designs. Play with appliquéd threads and creative decoration, explore shapes, patterns and structures from 'Honeycomb' to 'Twice Tucked and Twisted'. Amazingly simple yet so so sew effective! Totally tantalisingly tasteful - most excellent ideas for garments, quilts and accessories.
 
Create an intriguing panel of textured and manipulated techniques or use the individual samples for blocks, cushions, garments etc.
 
It is appreciated that students prefer to complete or almost complete their class sample and each class is carefully designed so this should be possible.
All classes are suitable for every level of sewing ability.
 
Choose a good quality medium weight calico (US - muslin) or light coloured plain/hand-dyed/self patterned cotton fabric. If desired, pre-wash all materials but use a spray starch when pressing to restore ‘body’.
 
Requirements
One 1 metre/1 yard 115 cm (45") fabric 
One 15" square fabric 
One 18" square wadding/batting - 2 oz low loft polyester or similar
Selection of thin braids, chenilles, wools, fine cords and/or other thick threads for embellishment.
Variety of machine threads including invisible/nylon filament plus sewing thread to match fabric
SEWING MACHINE, FOOT CONTROL AND ALL PRESSER FEET + INSTRUCTION BOOK
18" - 24" RULER (if available),
NOTEPAD and PENCIL
ROTARY CUTTING EQUIPMENT
GENERAL SEWING ACCESSORIES,
CAMERA FOR PHOTOGRAPHS OF STAGE SAMPLES (very good way of recording the lesson)
Remember to pack your spectacles if worn!
