Make it – your choice with Alison Smith.Bring a garment you are making or wish to make and Alison will draw on her fabulous wealth of experience to help with fit, techniques and embellishments. Whether you choose a beautifully fitted blouse, cocktail dress, soft lingerie, sassy skirt or speed tailored jacket, Alison will guide you through the process so even if you don’t get it finished, you will be able to do so with confidence at home.

Get away for a weekend of sewing pleasure during which you learn new skills, meet new friends and enjoy a relaxing break away from it all.

These Creative Sewing weekends are great fun and a fabulous way to share sewing. The two-day workshops (you choose one), are run by three of our expert Sewing World tutors. The whole event is hosted by Editor Wendy Gardiner and Jennie Rayment who are on-hand throughout the weekend to ensure everyone has a relaxing and trouble-free time.

The venue is a lovely 18th century house which we take over so that everyone at the hotel is involved in sewing!

The venue

Dunford House is a beautiful 18th century house, set in 60 acres of peaceful woodland in Midhurst, West Sussex. All rooms are en-suite and the package includes full-board plus evening entertainment on Friday and Saturday evenings and of course the weekend workshops. (We can also offer day rates for those not wishing to stay the weekend; and partner rates for those who wish to bring a partner.)

Dates and prices

The next weekend is 1 - 3rd Oct 2010. We have managed to maintain the same price as the last two years, so the total cost is £295 plus £15 for materials. £50 secures a place, with the balance due 1st April. Spaces are limited to no more than 36 students per weekend, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
